Funny Guy will premiere in New York on June 5 at the Rooftop Films 2009 Summer Series. The screening will be on the Open Road Rooftop in the Lower East Side as part of Trapped Inside the Machine, a night of shorts about “losing your grip on reality, and reality losing its grip on the world.” Doors open at 8:00pm, bands play at 8:30pm, and the films start at 9:00pm.
For the 13th annual summer, Rooftop Films will present underground shorts and features on rooftops and other outdoor venues. Rooftop’s partners for 2009 include Cinereach, New York magazine, Indiewire and Indiepix. It is anticipated to be the best summer series thus far, with 25,000 people in attendance throughout the season.

The filmmakers are very excited for Funny Guy to be included in Rooftop Films' forthcoming season. Rooftop is a festival respected for its unique method of programming and screening and its dedication to supporting new, low budget and groundbreaking films.
